Riga Stradins University Medical School, founded in 1950, is one of the oldest and most respected faculties in the country. The English-language study program at the Riga medical university lasts 6 years. This Latvian medical school uses the most modern techniques and teaching is on par with other schools in Europe. Admission requirements for medical studies at the University of Latvia are a general university entrance qualification, an English-language test and excellent scores in the science subjects of biology, chemistry and physics.
