Hello, my name is Mark and I am currently studying dental medicine in Poland. Originally, I’m from a small town outside Chicago, but I’ve been living in Warsaw for the past 2 years now. I worked as a DJ while finishing my high school, which didn’t leave a lot of time to study. Sadly, this meant that I didn’t meet the NC requirements to study medicine in Munich like I originally wanted. However, I wanted to start my university studies right after completing school, so I started searching for possibilities to study abroad in Europe.
Studying medicine abroad was interesting to me for several different reasons: the possibility to experience a new culture, lower costs of living, and the opportunity to study dentistry in English were the top arguments for coming to this decision.
I’ve had no regrets in coming here and quickly adjusted to life in Poland. The proximity to the Baltic Sea, the number of highly qualified lecturers and professors, as well as the modern infrastructure of the labs and university itself ensure high levels of satisfaction in not only myself but also my classmates, a significant number of which are also international students. So, don’t let yourself be discouraged if your average grade in secondary school wasn’t the best and be open to new and different places for your medical studies!
